Consumer law deals with the rights of consumers, borrowers, and businessmen. The purpose of this area of the law is to protect consumers, borrowers, and businessmen against fraud, unfair methods of competition, and unfair or deceptive acts or practices in the conduct of any trade or commerce. The best element of business has long been that honesty should govern competitive enterprises, and that the rule of caveat emptor (“buyer beware”) should not be relied upon to reward fraud and deception. For our economy to servive we must practice and require integrity in the market place.
Our office handles litigation aspects of consumer matters from the preliminary investigative stages, through discovery, litigation and appeal.
